600 pts, 3x3 arena, Colosseum 2.0
King of The Colosseum (KoTC) is Play On Tabletop's unofficial 600 point game mode for Warhammer 40k, and 2.0 just landed for 11th. The format consists of a fixed arena board and games can run between an hour to two hours depending on player proficiency and skill. If you're newer to 40k or you're coming back into it in 11th, this is one of the best ways to learn because 600 points means a handful of units instead of twenty and the rules actually have room to sink in.
LIST BUILDING
600 pts, built on 11th edition Incursion rules with the Colosseum restrictions on top:
One detachment only, any detachment point level
One Character designated as your Warlord
Required at least Two Infantry units, Characters can count toward this.
Each datasheet once only, except Battleline and Dedicated Transports, which can go twice
No Epic Heroes
Nothing Toughness 10 or higher
Only one Toughness 9 datasheet in the whole list
Enhancements are fine
Bring a list if you've got one and we'll check it over. If you don't, we'll build one with you on the night.
WHAT WE'LL COVER
Two tables, four players, starting at 6:00. We'll walk through everything the format asks of you:
How the arena works, five objectives, fixed terrain, and what changed about the walls in 2.0
Deployment, 8 inches in from your own board edge
Chapter Approved 2026 missions, Tactical secondaries
Determining the Mission Twist off detachment points
Playing it out with somebody right there to answer questions
We'll take the time we need to get through it, and nobody's getting rushed. Once you've got it, you're welcome to keep playing as long as you like.
NO PAINTING REQUIREMENT
Bring what you've got, grey plastic is fine, proxies are fine, we just want models on the table and games getting played.
This one's free. Four seats, registration goes up on XP Network (you're here!)
Bring a 600 pt list if you've got one, your dice, and a tape measure. Short on models, tell us ahead of time and we'll put an army in your hands.
Not playing but want to see what the format looks like? Come watch, there's no sign up for that.
