Instead of sitting alone filling out your bracket, join a Maptasy draft! The draft board is a map and every sports team has a territory. The essence of all Maptasy games is that you can only choose teams that border a territory you have already selected. Maptasy forces you to be more strategic than just picking the highest seed first. Choose a top team in first round but consider what teams are nearby and where your opponents are. In the following rounds, build bridges to other good teams and block your opponents. Then watch your teams advance in the tournament, score upsets, and rack up points for you.
This is a fantasy-sports league for 2-12 players for the Women's 2026 Division 1 tournament. What makes Maptasy unique is the draft board is a map and every sports team has a territory. In the first round of a snake draft, you take turns picking college basketball teams, considering all the usual "bracketology" factors but also what other teams are nearby. That's because in subsequent rounds can only choose teams adjacent to one of your earlier picks. Then, when the games begin, earn points when your teams go deep in the college basketball tournament and when they upset higher seeds. The winner is the player atop the standings after the tournament ends.

If too few players have joined, we can add bot teams to get to an ideal number of players. Maptasy is one of the few fantasy sports games that work well with both small and larger groups – even 1 v 1.
Here's a snapshot of a Maptasy draft for the Men's 2023 College Basketball Tournament midway through the 5th round. Each color represents the teams drafted by a different player. The gray territories have yet to be chosen. The turquoise, orange, and magenta teams have already gotten boxed in and will lose their next turn but then be able to choose any available territory.
