The Event Format
Thursday - Open practice & Open Tables for play.
Friday - Konflikt 47 tournament (three games)
Saturday and Sunday – Bolt Action Five Game Grand Tournament
Additionally, Warlord Games demos and offerings will be available for play on all days for LVO badge holders.
Player Code of Conduct
By registering for the Warlord Games Las Vegas Open event, players agree to all conditions and requirements found below. Violations of the Player Code of Conduct can result in points deductions and/or disqualification, either from awards, or the event as a whole.
Respect & Positivity: Treat opponents, officials, and teammates with respect at all times.
Competitive Spirit: Players are expected to compete to the best of their ability. Providing a genuine challenge is a fundamental part of sportsmanship and shows respect for your opponent.
Grace & Integrity: Conduct yourself with professionalism in both victory and defeat. Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in penalties, including possible disqualification.
Rules Disputes: During a question referees will listen to both sides of the argument and come up with a decision based on the circumstances. Once a decision has been made both players are to accept that ruling. The tournament organizer has the final say in all rules disputes.
Terrain: Terrain MUST be discussed between both players before deployment begins. Any disputes on terrain designation will be settled by the TO.
Going Down: When firing at a unit, and in other appropriate circumstances, players MUST give their opponent reasonable time to declare a down order before rolling their “to hit” dice.
Model Policy
The 'What You See Is What You Get' (WYSIWYG) rule is in effect for all tournaments. That means all units MUST be easily identifiable as the choice they represent and that all weapons/options taken for a unit MUST be clearly represented on the model(s).
“Models can be representative of various units, and this is allowed. For example, you may have some British soldiers in standard uniforms that you are using as Ghurkhas. Or you may have paid the points in your list for an M3A3 Lee, but the model you use is an M3A1 Lee - because both variants have the exact same loadout, and just have different special rules, this is acceptable as long as you communicate clearly with your opponent.”
All models must be mounted on the correct base size or larger. If a model is on an oversized base, all measurements and in-game interactions will be treated as though it is on the correct base size. Players encountering any disputes regarding base size should first attempt to resolve it themselves. However, if an agreement can not be reached the player using the incorrect base size must accept their opponent’s ruling within reason. If a resolution still cannot be reached, a Tournament Organizer (TO) must be called to make the final decision.
We ask that ALL models, for ALL game systems be painted to a 3-color minimum standard. We are not looking for everyone to bring a professional painted army, an honest effort to add color to your miniatures is more than sufficient. If you cannot meet this requirement, please contact us so we may attempt to support you. We don’t want anyone to miss out for this reason.
Awards
Each event will contain the following Awards:
First Place
Second Place
Third Place
Best Painted Award - Player voted but ultimate decision made by T.O.
Spirit of Bolt Action is awarded by consensus of the tournament organizers for great sportsmanship exploits.
Prizes will be chosen by players who win the previous mentioned awards in this order. Following this, we will then work through everyone in order of their final tournament results.
